BEAUTY: Interiors--Andrew Flesher

Andrew Flesher is, like Robert Stilin in the previous post, another designer who has a powerful, unique vocabulary. Like Stilin, his work is sculptural (I love the hair-on-hide-upholstered rectangular wingback chair) and textural. I like how he combines old and new: witness the Neo-Classical breakfast nook with settees, traditional chandelier, and 1970s Platner side table in the second photo, or the Mies van der Rohe day bed and Jacobsen Egg chair in an otherwise Georgian-style sitting room. But what really caught my eye was the phenomenal chrome and glass-enclosed fireplace in the first photo below. WOW.
